In actuality, timeshares are more in supply than the demand for them. This in effect means there are many more sellers than buyers for timeshares. The market is definitely competitive but this in no way means that you cannot sell timeshare. All you need is a good amount of research and know all the pitfalls of selling your timeshare.

Firstly, you must know that you will be paying monthly charges towards the maintenance of the property and will be paying it till you find somebody else to pay.So this means, you need to look for somebody else to pay this mortgage before you can get out of this contract. This is made easy if it is for a property that is a popular vacationing spot or if it is a small timeshare. In this case, you may need to contact a timeshare resales agency. In fact, you must look into all of this when you are buying the timeshare - check the association rules regarding the maintenance fees, property taxes and other assessment fees.

The most important part here is to make sure your letter must be sent before the deadline in order for the cancellation of your timeshare. Also ensure that the letter includes a signed receipt request so it can be used later to authenticate the date in case of a disagreement.

For the same reason, copy out all documents. In case of any later conflicts, ensure all mail is postmarked with a date before the deadline. If you do not get any response for 30 days, you must begin following up to ensure you can take advantage of that rescission period.

When you haven’t yet exceeded the rescission period on your contract, it is best to cancel the timeshare immediately.Check the contract’s “cancellation” or “rescind” section to get all the information as well as to know the rescission period. This is the best way to get out of the contract with a full refund when you decide a timeshare is not for you.
